Sometimes instead of going out all night long, you’d much prefer to have a night in with yourself or some of your best friends. Here in the office we have been talking about the different things that we all enjoy doing in our downtime when we have the time. We have also come up with a playlist of some songs that we think are perfect for when you just want to hang out with your friends at home.
Amy:
One of Amy’s favourite things to do when she has some time to herself is to pamper herself completely: putting on a facemask, painting her nails, sitting back in the bath with a G&T and watching Netflix on her phone.
Sometimes when she has the time, she also likes to blast some music whilst she does the dishes.
A bath bomb that Amy recommends to use is called Intergalatic from LUSH and it turns your bath into a dark, sparkly rainbow.
Amy’s favourite drink would be Bombay Sapphire gin with Fevertree tonic water, ice, a slice of lemon and some mint.
Monika:
When I have the chance to spend some time by myself, one of the things that I really like doing is being able to get stuck into a new book or one of my favourites that I could reread over and over again. I’ve always loved reading and because I’m much busier these days, I don’t get to read as much as I used to, unless I have time to myself. I really enjoy romance in particular as well as books about fashion or art so that I’m always learning something new.
A book that I recommend reading is a biography about Alexander McQueen called Blood beneath the skin by Andrew Wilson.
I also really like doing things such as putting on a sheet mask or pore strips in order to feel refreshed, especially if it’s been a particularly long week.
My favourite go to cocktail is a Pina Colada.
Anjelica:
When she gets together with friends for a girls night in, she really enjoys playing cards against humanity because of how funny some of the cards can be.
She also really enjoys reading, especially when it’s been a long day and she knows that she has a really good book to start or continue when she gets home accompanied by a glass of wine, it’s one of her perfect ways to unwind.
